What are "disc related" symptoms?
Symptoms
Pain that starts in the back and travels/refers to the hip
Pain that is deep, achy and worsens with sitting
Pain that makes it diffuclt to stand up from sitting
Pain that radiates down into one thigh, knee, calf or foot
Pain that is worse in the beginning or end of the day
Pain that is accompanied by
tingling / numbness / paresthesia
When a disc herniation occurs between the spinal levels of L4 - S3, then the Sciatic Nerve is more than likely involved in propagating symptoms.
Depending on the person and involvement of the inflammatory reaction, you can have a myriad of presentations that include more or less lower back pain, hip pain, IT band pain, knee pain, calf pain and foot pain. Any of these areas feeling deep, achy or numb style sensations should be investigated to ensure that those symptoms aren't stemming from a disc problem.
