WEBSTER TECHNIQUE

If you are between 34 and 36 weeks of pregnancy and have a breeched baby, email us to schedule an appointment. Webster Technique has been shown to be a safe and effective method to turn that baby back into the proper position in order to delivery naturally.
This procedure starts with ultrasound in real-time so we can see what rotation and position the baby is in - then Dr. St.Thomas will perform the Webster Technique, which is a gentle and methodical approach to repositioning the baby into a better angle for birth. Then we recheck that in real-time with ultrasound again to ensure that they positioning is ideal.
Safe and simple! Last, mom will get coached on a couple of exercises to encourage the proper positioning and that's all there is to it.
