Spinal Conditions that are commonly

treated are listed below

Arthritis

Spinal arthritis can lead to chronic pain, biomechanical alterations and lead to foraminal and central canal stenosis. This can also play a direct role in degenerative disc disease, as well as compression symptoms that can affect the spinal nerves and cord.

Spinal Stenosis

Spinal stenosis occurs when the normal foramen (space where the spinal cord sits within the vertebrae) becomes compromised and the spinal cord and exiting spinal nerves become compressed. This can cause neurological symptoms in the lower back, groin and lower limbs.

Spinal Fusion

This surgery can be performed by a spinal surgeon to help stabilize vertebrae that have lost their integrity. One potential issue that can occur following spinal surgery is called epidural fibrosis - which refers to the buildup of scar tissue following spinal surgery.
